Seems like forever since I’ve blogged or since I’ve had free time. The gym and various social engagements seem to keep me pretty busy.
Last week I wandered down to Leather Lane during my lunch break and GymBox were at it again handing out flyers. This time they were using the usual people in yellow t-shirts and a guy dress in a green shag-pile costume with antennae. I smiled. He handed me a flyer. I said I already had a GymBox membership. He hugged me. What a lunch time!
Saturday was fun. Me and Moggy got up and had a cooked breakfast, got ready and missed out on seeing her friend’s play in Angel, sat in the theatre’s bar and had a drink, went to Cuba Libre for tapas and cocktails, went to another bar for cocktails, stopped by H&M for a spot of shopping, went to Wahaca for yummy food and cocktails and had yet another cool waiter who we chatted to and found out that he’s an actor just like the waiter we had last time and got given a flyer to his play (cool), onto South Kensington for the birthday celebrations we were supposed to attend three hours earlier and home!
I also heard Rehab by Amy Winehouse while out shopping. It was the first time I’ve ever heard one of her songs and have been waiting until that point to pass judgement on her. Yes, she can sing infinitely better than I could ever do, but a lot of the critics are right, she’s good, but she’s not outstandingly great. And this lyrics don’t imspire much either. I could take it or leave it.
Sunday was spent lazing around the house catching up on MasterChef. I got an insanely early (8am) phone call from a worse-for-wear Ed so I had someone to mooch around with… yay! A plate of roti bread and curry sauce while watching the ends of movies on tv and we were happy fat kids.
