I was reading five books. On the Road by Jack Kerouac, I still haven’t finished Speaking With the Angel as well as the others. I finished One Red Paperclip on my way up to March. Now I’m at three with Slam by Nick Hornby which is actually proving to be a very interesting read!

no wait…
Sunday, June 29th, 2008booky books
Tuesday, June 24th, 2008I was reading three books simultaneously… I finished Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants and gave it back to Elisha and I’m still working on One Red Paperclip and The Secret Diary of a Grumpy Old Woman.
Also in the mix I managed to buy a 1 pint Hoegaarden glass (weighing all of 1kg!) and 6 half pint glasses (weighing what you would expect a glass to weigh).
back to black
Monday, June 23rd, 2008That’s right, I have black hair again. Who knows how long this one will last for. (Fake) streaks, here I come!
for your eyes only
Monday, June 23rd, 2008So, over the weekend I found out that I wasn’t named after the Bond girl in Octopussy, that would have been near impossible given that it came out in 1983. No, I was named after the Bond girl in For Your Eyes Only.
spoilt
Monday, June 16th, 2008Talk about spoilt. For my birthday Ed took me out for a surprise evening. Little did I know that not only would I be the proud owner of a new pair of running shoes and a giant fluffy bathrobe but I would also be having a yummy dinner at my restaurant of choice (mentioned MONTHS ago) and sitting watching The Lion King on stage!
This certainly beat my last two birthdays hands down. (No offence Eddy but you were only competing against a microwave pizza and an IKEA ready meal.)
The Apprentice
Wednesday, June 11th, 2008Yay, Lee got hired!
bing-bong
Thursday, June 5th, 2008Just got back from the Anvril Lavigne concert at the O2. How cool. Now you may not think so but this morning I checked my RSS feed and found a competition to enter… don’t mind if I do!
Fast forward to very soon: you’ve won two tickets to the Avril Lavigne concert and after party… really?!
You can’t give these tickets away. Me and Jean took the concert by storm… although sans camera as they confiscated mine… grrr!!!
Avril sung her three old school songs (well, four but I only knew three of them) and one that Eddy quoted earlier in the day and one that I saw on MTV (thank you GymBox!) and I screamed and sung along (of course).
That’s right people… I’m not afraid to say that I enjoyed an Avril Lavigne concert. It was fun and random and Spandi-like.
Go Avril and Jean!
