That’s another flight down for Eddy and more to go. I’m planning on checking into my favourite hostel in Ohakune for a few pre-arrival/late-season snow days. Any more than three and I think I’d go batty. Snowboarding on your own is fun for the first day or so when you feel all independent and free to do whatever runs you want without having to compromise. Any time after that and you just feel like a Suzy-no-mates (or a Nigel-no-mates).

Have been getting increasingly annoyed with all tube passengers. It seems that the day I decide to wear jandals everyone feels the urge to stomp on my toes… repeatedly. As if they can’t feel my squishy toes through their gigantic shoes.

Wedding season is upon us, starting next week for me, in fact. A nice Friday wedding to kick it all off, 08/08/08. All I can say is a lot of Chinese people will be getting hitched on that day.

I woke up on yesterday morning after having a bad dream that felt like it lasted all night. Apparently that’s what I get for watching around 15 episodes of NCIS in a row. So now I’m onto Dharma & Greg for some light, fluffy relief.

Many to go. Grabaseat finally came through for me and offered one of the flights I was after for cheap. It means missing a flight but not one that I paid extra for anyways. How many more to go now?

My long weekend in Mannheim was enjoyable as usual. Many photos were taken, some alcohol was consumed, only a little shopping was completed. I even experience “spaghetti eis” which is ice cream that looks like spaghetti bolognese. I slept more than I’ve slept in ages, although that doesn’t say much.

This morning I am achey all over from doing weird exercises yesterday morning. I’m not sure if this no-gym thing is working out for me.

And I keep having dreams that I’m in love with Nick Hogan (Hulk Hogan’s son). Weird.

Last weekend was the Henley festival. My gosh, the politically incorrect (?) comedian was O for awesome!

Now I’m in Mannheim visiting Conny and have been very good with my lack of shopping

slugs

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

From now on if someone asks me how much I weigh the answer will be: 4.18 slugs. Hey what now?! That’s right, a nice new measurement to show that I really do spend way too much time on the interweb thingee!

Or maybe I should just say that I weigh 45 Macbook Airs or 12 domestic cats…

wheezing

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

Yesterday I started day one of trying to run in real life on real pavement… I didn’t bank on so many people being able to see my embarrassment. Wheezing may just become a new hobby of mine.

My new laptop arrived today. Pity that the wireless isn’t playing! I’m on system restore number three!

sleeves

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

This morning I went Hulk Hogan on a business shirt and hacked the sleeves off before I went to work. There is something about cut-off fabric that makes a piece of clothing infinitely more attractive to me. I owe this to Cynthia who transformed my old work trousers into my favourite pair of shorts (to my horror, at the time). Now I just can’t get enough of it.

Speaking of Hulk Hogan, my GymBox membership is officially over (as of Monday) and I am going it alone. So far, not so good. But give it a week and I’ll be doing laps of the Morrison’s carpark and trying to find my way to work on foot.

iPhone (3G), MacBook… why do Apple do it? How do they do it? So pretty, so expensive…

MOO have come out with full-sized business cards… nice!

And I’m up to season 3 of NCIS. Why did they have to kill Kate? Sigh.
